Electric dreams - Biomorphic explorations

Landmark, Baku

February 25, 2022- April 2, 2022

Biomorphic Explorations: Electric Dreams examined the hidden networks and forms that shape living systems. Drawing inspiration from mycelium—the underground fungal network through which fungi and microorganisms communicate—the exhibition explored biological connectivity as both a natural phenomenon and a conceptual framework.

At the center of the exhibition was a site-specific installation that evolved throughout its duration. A growing mycelium-like structure gradually expanded from the ceiling, transforming the exhibition space into an immersive environment. New elements were introduced each evening, allowing the work to continuously develop over time.

Visitors became active participants by placing handwritten notes within the installation. Created from biodegradable paper, these contributions became part of the evolving structure, extending the work beyond observation into collective interaction and ecological transformation.

Bringing together biomorphic forms, environmental thinking, and participatory practice, Biomorphic Explorations: Electric Dreams marked the beginning of an ongoing artistic investigation into the relationships between living organisms, invisible systems, and the processes of growth, change, and interconnectedness.
