Ghost Bark, 2026
Latex, metallic film, wood
Site-specific dimensions
Ghost Bark approaches the tree as a material archive, bringing together histories of extraction, transformation, and time.
Its synthetic latex skin forms an artificial membrane around organic matter, fossils, iron, and ceramic formations resembling lichen. These materials carry different temporalities, from geological time and natural growth to oxidation and industrial production.
Blurring distinctions between the organic and the manufactured, Ghost Bark explores how matter persists through transformation, carrying traces of its previous forms into new material states.
