Ruhlar of the Forest, 2026

Ruhlar — spirits — is a series of paintings inspired by motion-based photographs, where the human body dissolves into the movement of trees in the wind. The blurred gestures echo branches bending and leaves trembling, suggesting that the body carries the same breath as the forest — a quiet, unseen choreography of spirit and air.

Created with Air Ink — pigment made from pollution collected in Delhi — and spray paint on canvas, the works hold a deliberate paradox. Man-made pollutants become the medium through which the beauty and freedom of nature are expressed. What once clouded the air is transformed into gestures of reverence.
