The cement slab works draw inspiration from Ips typographus (Linnaeus, 1758), the bark beetle whose intricate movements carve delicate, coded traces beneath the surface of wood. Translated into metal and cement, these organic inscriptions become fossil-like imprints—preserved gestures of life, migration, and quiet disruption.

In this hybrid terrain, the slabs function as both relics and signals—inviting reflection on what is lost, what endures, and how memory, whether biological or encoded, continues to shape the landscapes we inherit and leave behind.
